So there you are, a 13-year-old girl performing at a fundraiser in the middle of a mall in Edmonton, Canada. You're in the middle of Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" and totally owning the spotlight — when some guy decides to rush the stage and steal the microphone.
Now, what if that guy was Sheeran himself?
In the case of young Sydney Bourbeau, it was! On Sunday, Bourbeau was performing at a benefit for the Edmonton Humane Society when she was suddenly joined on stage by Sheeran, who made the tune a duet.
Bourbeau managed to keep her cool and finished the song with him.
"I was, like, 'Should I stop?' I didn't want to stop, but I wanted to talk to him," she told the Edmonton Journal. "This is, like, the best thing that's ever happened to me."

The pair didn't get a chance to chat after he left the stage, but it wasn't over for Bourbeau, who got a text from Sheeran's manager later in the day with an offer of tickets to his show that night.
And, as she wrote on Twitter later, it truly was an awesome experience all around:
Plus, the humane society raised $10,500.
