Ed Sheeran proved himself a hopeless romantic earlier this week when he helped a man propose to his girlfriend — and got a little teary in the process.

The singer-songwriter, 24, shared footage of the emotional moment on Twitter early Thursday morning, admitting that he "might've welled up" watching the happy couple get engaged at his Austin, Texas, concert Wednesday night.

Sheeran was performing “All of the Stars” when he invited the pair onstage, claiming, "I have no idea what’s going to happen next.”

For his part, the groom-to-be quoted one of Sheeran's hits, telling the crowd, "I'm just thinking out loud," before launching into the proposal, which drew plenty of cheers.

This is only the latest in a series of warmhearted gestures Sheeran has made to his fans.

In March, he showed up at the wedding of Kya and Matt Debono in Sydney, Australia, to serenade them with his ballad "Thinking Out Loud."

And last November, he granted one of 19-year-old Katie Papworth's last wishes, accepting her marriage proposal just days before she died from cancer.
