Ed O'Neill got to experience something most men only dream about when he came face-to-face with Britney Spears at the Los Angeles airport.
The only problem? The "Modern Family" star had no clue that the woman he'd just met was the pop music superstar!
O'Neill sat down with Ellen DeGeneres to chat about their new animated film "Finding Dory," but before long the actor was making both Ellen and her audience giggle with his story about meeting the "Hold It Against Me" singer.

The actor said he was waiting to board an LAX flight to Hawaii when a woman greeted him and told him she was a fan.
"She came up and said, ‘Oh, Mr. O’Neill, I love 'Modern Family' and you’re my favorite on the show,’” O'Neill recalled.
“And I thought, ‘Well, I’m here. I’m the only one here,’” the actor joked.
That's when the woman asked him to pose in a selfie with her. “She couldn’t have been nicer,” O' Neill said.
The actor only realized the woman was actually Britney Spears when his manager texted him later to tell him a photo of him and Spears had 53,000 likes on social media.

“I didn’t know it was her. I mean, look at the look on my face: Do I look like I’m sitting with Britney Spears?!” he joked.
O'Neill added that he was further humiliated when his teenage daughter Sophia heard the story and promptly let pop know he was a "moron."
