And really, it's a dream of a performance. Aerosmith's 1973 power ballad still packed punch and emotional resonance after all these years, and it got a brand-new life with these power performers knocking it out of the park.

Keys started things off with the piano introduction, with Shelton joining in after the first verse, then Levine and finally Cyrus — and all proved they have serious pipes. (Hey, it is not easy to match Steven Tyler's high notes from the original, but Levine managed to do it.)

It's a great tease for Season 11, and makes us more eager than ever to see what's coming our way from the Emmy-winning show. Tune in on Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. ET for the kickoff on NBC and in the meantime ... dream on!
