"Downton Abbey" fans, we've got three months to go before the fifth season U.S. premiere, but already things are heating up.

A new trailer shows fire breaking out at Downton, with chaos ensuing.

But those aren't the only sparks flying. The 30-second trailer hints that Edith can't keep quiet about her secret child, that Lady Mary and Lord Gillingham may be getting closer, and that Thomas Barrow is putting pressure on Lady Grantham's maid, Miss Baxter.

And if you're eager for more, British network ITV released a one-minute teaser in August, just before the new season began airing there.

The British preview offers more juicy tidbits, including Lord Grantham worrying about losing one of his grandchildren, Lord Gillingham challenging Lady Mary with a "scandalous suggestion," and a classic Dowager Countess quip that'll have you counting the days until the bells ring again at the Abbey.

The fifth season of "Downton Abbey" premieres on "Masterpiece" on PBS on Jan. 4, 2015.
