In her hit song “Confident,” Demi Lovato urges women to be themselves. But we’ve gotta say … we really, really love it when she’s being somebody else.
Lovato appeared on Friday’s episode of "The Tonight Show" for a spin at Jimmy Fallon’s Wheel of Musical Impressions.
Lovato warmed up with a Cher-style rendition of “Bingo Was His Name-O.” It’s fun, but kind of amateur hour, right? Anyone can do a Cher impression after a few glasses of wine.
The next round threw her a curveball: Fetty Wap, singing “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.” Huh? Fetty’s barely been around long enough to have impersonators, but Demi’s performance of “Twinkle” crossed with the hip-hop star's “My Way” is spot on.
Fetty, if you decide to cover this one, we hope you’ll give Demi some credit.
Finally, Lovato gets to show off her powerful pipes as riff queen Christina Aguilera performing the “Sponge Bob Square Pants” theme. That pineapple under the sea has some killer acoustics.
Fallon's impressions of Louie Armstrong and Dave Matthews are also not to be missed, but as he put it himself, it was "game over."
