Cookie Monster may be always up for learning, but his one-track mind is never far from his namesake tasty treats. So when "Homeland" star Claire Danes showed up on "Sesame Street" to teach the Muppet a new word, he was pretty sure he knew what it was.

"Is Word of Day 'cookie'? 'Biscuit'? How 'bout 'wafer'?" demands the blue googly-eyed pal.

Instead, the word was "diagram," which Danes demonstrated first by showing a diagram of a car. Cookie Monster zeroed in on the trunk, because "trunk is where me Mommy put cookies when she go shopping."

No cookies in this diagram, but Danes produces another one that's a little more to Cookie Monster's liking. Maybe a little too much — as the diagram of a cookie doesn't survive the sketch. As they always say, that's the way the cookie diagram crumbles.
