Grammy Award-winning R&B star Chris Brown dropped by the TODAY plaza Friday to get the pre-Labor Day crowds jumping and screaming, as he launched into versions of "Fine China," "Beat It," and his new single, "Love More."

Brown was more interested in letting his music do the talking on Friday. When asked by TODAY's Tamron Hall about his recent seizure in the recording studio, Brown said he "Just needed some rest."

Matt Lauer queried Brown about a recent interview in which the singer said he wanted to turn to the positive side, and how that meshed with some recent negative tweets. "It's not the music. ... I'm loving my fans," Brown said.

Brown was also asked whether his upcoming album "X," which will be his sixth, really is his last as he's suggested in interviews. "I'm just putting out the music for now," he said. "I'm going to continue to work for my fans and make sure they have fun."

Which is exactly what he did.
