Channing Tatum isn't afraid to take his clothes off in front of millions in "Magic Mike," but the hunky actor does have an undeniable fear: Porcelain dolls.
When Tatum confessed that phobia to Ellen DeGeneres on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Wednesday, the host had little sympathy.
"Did something happen to you when you were a child?" DeGeneres asked. "Did a porcelain doll fall on you when you were sleeping?"
While Tatum mused that a possessed porcelain doll in the "Friday the 13th" TV series may have had something to do with it, he also said he simply hated the dolls' looks.
"I just think they're freaky!" Tatum told DeGeneres. "They have, like, real eyes! I just imagine when I walk by them, their heads turn with you the whole time!"
And of course, DeGeneres then produced two especially creepy porcelain dolls, with eerie white faces, wrestling Tatum to try and get him to hold one of them.
"Aw, come on!" Tatum protested. "That's not freaky to anyone else? That is not right, look at it!"
Tatum should perhaps stay away from theaters on Oct. 3, the opening weekend of possessed porcelain-doll horror movie "Annabelle," a spinoff of the 2013 hit "The Conjuring."
