Last year wasn't easy for Céline Dion: She lost both her husband and brother within days of one another in January. But by the end of the year she'd clearly begun to bounce back, sharing a video compilation retrospective of 2016 with fans on Facebook.

Now she's shown the world how she ended 2016: Surrounded by her adorable children René-Charles, 15, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 6, at Christmas.

It is a picture-perfect family gathering, but we imagine it can't have been easy to have a first Christmas without father and husband René Angélil by their sides. Dion had known Angélil since she was 12, and the pair had been married for 22 years. He died on Jan. 14, 2016 after battling throat cancer.

Her brother Daniel also died of cancer, two days later.

Still, Dion seems to be doing well and recently shared this amusing photo of the family out having fun at an Disneyland for the twins' birthday:

It's nice to see that good times can still be celebrated, even after so many hard ones. The show does indeed go on.
