Céline Dion's 6-day-old twin boys have names. The singer actually announced the names, Nelson and Eddy, on Canadian television Oct. 13, 10 days before she gave birth. Nelson is a tribute to Nelson Mandela, and Eddy is named after French songwriter Eddy Marnay. Marnay, who died in 2003, helped launch Dion's music career after he heard her sing at age 13 and agreed to produce a song for her. Dion also revealed that at the beginning of her pregnancy, she had been carrying triplets, but the heart of the third fetus stopped beating soon after she realized that she was expecting. "He chose to let go to give space to his brothers to grow," she said. Dion conceived after five failed IVF attempts. She said that she and her husband, Rene Angelil, felt fortunate after Nelson and Eddy were born. "We were both thinking about the time it took," Dion said. "We are very lucky, very privileged and fortunate to have these boys."
