Carrie Underwood made audiences swoon with her performance of "Heartbeat" at the American Music Awards, and Tuesday she released an ethereal video for the ballad.

In the video, which made its broadcast premiere on TODAY, Underwood sings of dancing under a harvest moon and admiring the way her loved one looks "in a firefly glow." It's the second single from her fifth studio album, "Storyteller."

The 32-year-old star, who welcomed her first child with husband Mike Fisher earlier this year, has plenty of inspiration when it comes to writing love songs.

When the proud mom sat down with TODAY's Natalie Morales in September, she talked about her baby boy Isaiah's influence on her music.

"It would be impossible to not let your life kind of work its way into your music," she said. "My son — he's the happiest little thing in the morning. He wakes up ready to go and smiling and laughing. It makes mornings a little sweeter."
