The latest pick for the TODAY Book Club is ... Helen Fielding’s “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy”!
“Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy” picks up the hilarious romantic saga of one of the most popular and beloved heroines in modern-day literature, but this time, she's in her 50s. The new novel, published by Knopf, hits bookstores on October 15. Fielding will kick off her U.S. tour on TODAY, live in studio on Wednesday, Oct. 16 and she will sign books for fans and answer questions.
“I hope that when people have read the book, they'll feel as though they've had a slice of life," Fielding told TODAY correspondent Jenna Bush Hager. "And I hope they'll have cried. I hope they'll have laughed. And most of all, I hope they really have a lovely, lovely time reading it.”
Fielding will be back on Monday, Nov. 4 to join Hager for a TODAY Book Club Google Hangout at 11 a.m. ET. Members of TODAY Book Club will have the opportunity to connect directly with Fielding to chat about the third book in the Bridget Jones series. RSVP now to the Google Hangout and share your thoughts about the novel’s big revelations by joining the TODAY Book Club community!
