Ben Affleck was getting some much-deserved attention at the BAFTA Tea Party (one woman even told him she wished she'd read for a part in "Gigli") for his work in "The Town."

If you haven't seen the film, allow me to editorialize and recommend that you really do. Affleck's directing is just superb, and it features perhaps the best car chase scene of the decade (and yes, I understand the decade is young). Affleck dished on how he pulled off the incredible scenes.

"We really wanted the viewer to feel like they were in the chase," Affleck said. "So a lot of the shots you see of one car were shot from inside a car that was headed toward that first car. So when you're watching a car come at you on the film, you really are watching that happen because that's how it was shot. So it was that, and of course, really amazing stunt drivers that made it happen."

"The Town," for those who are unaware, is set in Boston, which happens to have an accent that is very hard to emulate (reference Julianne Moore's guest role in "30 Rock" earlier this season for proof). Jeremy Renner, however, nailed it. "It was really, really hard," Renner said of pulling it off. "And I have to admit, kind of scary going in to it."
