Earlier this week, the world outside of Australia got to know morning show host Karl Stefanovic and his much-worn navy blue suit. Now, the suit itself has taken the stage.

The eBay stage, that is. Stefanovic has put the famous Burberry suit up on the auction block to raise money for the White Ribbon Fund charity, and bidding is already up to $1,600 AUS ($1,382 US).

Buyer beware: Stefanovic is quoted in the auction as saying the suit is "a little bit stanky" and the description says the suit "may need dry cleaning ASAP."

But bear in mind, this is one special suit. Stefanovic wore it on "Today" (the Down Under morning news show not to be confused with NBC's TODAY) almost every day for a year to underscore the differences between how TV viewers treat women's sartorial choices versus men's.

When Stefanovic revealed the stunt over the weekend, the story went viral. (A video showing him in the suit nearly every day for a year already has over 350,000 hits on YouTube.)

Charity or no, however, the suit has taken offense to being put up for auction.
