"Glee" creator Ryan Murphy has confirmed that Gwyneth Paltrow would be the next in a series of guest stars on the show. "She is going to be playing a substitute teacher who Matt Morrison's character falls for, he told Us Magazine. "She will be doing 3 or 4 solos." Is anyone else saying, "Enough with the guest stars already?" Some of the show's cameos have enhanced the plot. Jonathan Groff was technically a guest star, and a necessary character as the lead singer of rival group Vocal Adrenaline. When "Wicked" alum Idina Menzel took on the role of Rachel Berry's biological mom Shelby Corcoran, Menzel's appearance on the show was well-justified, too. But Neil Patrick Harris, Molly Shannon, Josh Groban, Britney Spears, and now Paltrow? Just because they can pull off a cameo doesn't mean they should. The cast in and of itself is incredibly talented, and after all, is't the original cast what made the audience love "Glee" in the first place? To continue to open the door to any celebrity with a set of pipes would be to tread dangerously near shark-jumping territory. What do you think? Cast your vote, above.
