Everyone's had something to say about the Nicki Minaj-Mariah Carey "American Idol" tensions: Nick Cannon, Ryan Seacrest, even, believe it or not, Barbara Walters.
And it turns out, Barb is no Barbz.
In the wake of some particularly damning allegations spouted by "The View" headmistress this morning, Nicki finally broke her silence on the alleged altercation and took to Twitter to set the record straight.
Her comments came in the wake of Walters revealing on today's "Hot Topics" portion of "The View" that she spoke with Mariah over the phone in the wake of the headline-grabbing event. The TV vet relayed to the audience that Carey informed her Minaj was overheard saying, "If I had a gun, I would shoot that b----," as she left "Idol's" Charlotte stage, where the cuss-filled incident transpired.
That, apparently, was the straw that broke the camel's back. And caused Nicki, in turn, to break her silence.
"Hey yAll," began the first of many morning tweets on the topic. "Lets just say nicki said smthn about a gun. ppl will believe it cuz she's a black rapper. Lmao. I'll then hit up Barbara n milk it."
"Ironically no camera or mic heard the gun comment tho. Lol @ the struggle. Not even the producers believed u. Say no to violence barbz."
And while she clearly wasn't happy with Mariah, the singer and fellow judge wasn't the only one drawing her ire.
"Barbara walters didn't reach out from our team barbz. I guess we're too dangerous. Don't shake if u don't wannA get shook!!!! LmAooooooooooo.
"I don't call tmz n Barbara Walters cuz I stand on my own two feet," she went on. "Never needed an army. God is good. Insecurity is as cruel as the grave."
And while Nicki is clearly insinuating that the offending threat never left her lips, she clearly has a theory as to why that story is out there.
"I guess it hurts 2 have the producers tell u to ur face that nicki is the best judge we've had since simon. Awww, poor u. Keep them lies cmn.
Yeah, that set won't be awkward or anything.
