What does it take to lose 175 pounds in two years? A lot of willpower, strength, and the desire to never give up.

Just ask Lauren, a powerhouse of a woman who'd always let food control her. She'd struggled with her weight most of her life, dieting, and then bingeing, and never managed to keep off the weight. She struggled with foot and knee injuries that prevented her from exercising and kept her from getting healthy.

Then she attended a weight loss retreat, and "truly began to learn how to deal with my emotional binge eating," she told Kathie Lee and Hoda on Monday. "It was there that I finally learned how to let food fuel me, not control me."

It took her two years, but she's dropped an incredible 175 pounds. "I can honestly say for the first time in my life, I am comfortable in my own skin," she said of life these days. "I can honestly say I love who I am inside and out, and most importantly, I feel free."

The secret to Lauren's success? A mix of weight-lifting and eating right, says nutritionist Joy Bauer, leader of the Joy Fit Club.

"This girl is unreal. Not only did she lose all this weight, but she's a power lifter," said Joy.

Lauren's workout regimen means she doesn't eat light -— she eats around 2,000 calories a day. Breakfast is an egg-white breakfast burrito, lunch is a salmon salad, and dinner is a stir fry, and she enjoys Joy's "greens in a glass" for a post-workout snack.

Lauren wowed Hoda and KLG by lifting a 115-pound weight, and then demonstrating a great weight-lifting circuit to treat jiggly "lunch lady arms."

"You look awesome," Hoda told Lauren. And we agree. Congrats, Lauren, on your amazing transformation!
