TODAY's puppy with a purpose reunites with family after 7 months of training

Charlie missed them so much!

What a day, friends! It's Charlie here. The TODAY show hosted a family reunion for me, and it was so much fun!

Do you know that this is the first time I've seen my sisters since they visited me on the show in August? That was 212 dinners ago, and we've done a LOT of growing and learning since then!

We're just two dogs, looking adorable.TODAY

I was born into a family with five sisters. My mama was so patient and nice to us. She is a black Labrador just like me, and the humans call her Quinta and "Good Girl." She taught us some important lessons like, "Do not cry wolf" and, "You is kind. You is smart. You is important."

This week I got to meet my papa, and let me tell you, he is the coolest dude. His name is Ozzie or Oz, but not Dr. Oz — I think that's someone else.

My puppy raiser says the only difference between me and Ozzie is our coat color. He is a yellow Labrador, but we have identical goofy personalities. And we both love a good belly rub.

All of my sisters are named after types of coffee. Humans love coffee and they love puppies, so I imagine coffee-named puppies for them is like a peanut butter bone with kibble on top for me. Delicious!

My sisters are Mocha, Crema, Java, Cappy and Kona. Mocha and Crema are training to be service dogs for veterans through America's VetDogs, just like me.

Java, Cappy and Kona are training to be guide dogs for someone who is blind or cannot see well. They are learning their skills through the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind. Guide Dog Foundation is a sister organization to America's VetDogs.

I'm an expert on having sisters, so I know it's the best!

I'm so proud to be in a family that is working hard to make the world a better place. For more info on how you can help our efforts, visit America's VetDogs!
