Baby gray squirrels cuddle together under a blanket in the Florida home of Lisa Richardson on Sept. 30.

Florida electrical contractor Linda Richardson rehabilitates squirrels out of her Land O' Lakes, Florida, home. She nurses injured ones back to health and helps raise orphan babies until they are old enough to be released. She says squirrels have personalities and emotions and the intelligence of house cats. In addition to rehabiliating squirrels she also puts feeding stations in her trees outside.

Richardson was recently shocked when her neighbor shot a squirrel with a pellet gun. See the story, here.
