“It is with tears that I must tell you that Jack has gone over the rainbow bridge,” explainedMary Beth Melchior, sister of owner Karen Pascoe, in a post on Jack the Cat’s official Facebook page.

The update on the social networking site went on to spotlight the “risks that attend putting an animal in cargo” and a vowed to “spur change” within the airline industry “so that no one else ever has to go through this again.”
