What a difference a photo can make, especially if you’re furry, four-legged and in dire circumstances. Professional pet portraits can greatly increase a shelter animal’s chances of being adopted — but who knew how adorable pet blooper photos could be?

Anne Chadwick Williams, a professional photographer in Sacramento, Calif., recently posted a slew of blooper photos of shelter dogs on her blog. She captured the images at the Sacramento City Animal Shelter and added funny captions to them — for a reason.

“Once a week I photograph dogs at the Sacramento city shelter in hopes that a good photo, a sweet photo, a compelling photo will increase the odds of their adoption,” Williams writes. “There is never a dull moment. Here are some of the bloopers, the outtakes, and the moments I couldn’t resist. These are great dogs. I hope everyone considers adopting a pet from a shelter.”

Check out more of Williams’ photos below, and prepare to fall in love.

TODAY.com writer Laura T. Coffey wants to drive to Sacramento and adopt every single one of these dogs. The question is: Will her husband let her?
