Unlikely friends

Miniature donkey and tiny stallion form big friendship

Jan. 12, 2012 at 4:38 PM ET

A big love affair with some tiny players has blossomed on a farm in Barnstead, New Hampshire. Charlie (left), a miniature ivory donkey standing 29 inches tall, and Einstein (right), the world's "smallest stallion" who measures only 20 inches high, have become new best friends. Adopted from a breeder in Kentucky after failing to stud, little Charlie was introduced to tiny Einstein on Nov. 1, and the pair have reportedly become inseparable as shown in these photos taken on Nov. 24, 2011.
