Video: What kind of a Facebook user is Mark Zuckerberg? The company’s CEO reveals why he posts so many photos of his dog Beast in an exclusive interview with TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie.

While Facebook made Mark Zuckerberg a household name, his dog isn't trotting too far behind him.

Beast, a Hungarian sheepdog who calls Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, mom and dad, is becoming quite the celebrity on social media, and is making his dad awfully proud.

"I definitely have a page for our dog, Beast," Zuckerberg told TODAY's Savannah Guthrie in an exclusive interview that aired Tuesday. "He actually has more than a million fans."

Much more than a million fans, actually. Beast has nearly 2 million fans on Facebook and close to 73,000 followers on Instagram. "I like cuddling and cute things," reads the 3-year-old dog's social media profiles. 

“He’s, like, this ridiculously cute dog. He looks like a little sheep,” Zuckerberg said. “He’s amazing.”

While his dad may be one of the most influential people around, Beast lets him know who is really in charge. Zuckerberg told Savannah that he's losing sleep lately not because of his social networking site, but because of Beast.

"If there's like, a raccoon outside or anything, he just goes nuts," he said. "He's been making me lose the most sleep recently.
