Kermit, is that you? Newly discovered species of frog looks awfully familiar

A striking new species of frog has been discovered in Costa Rica, but for Muppet fans, there's nothing new looking about this amphibian.

Like other varieties of glass frog, the newfound one sports semi-translucent skin. But Hyalinobatrachium dianae really stands out due to its bright green coloring, black-and-white eyes and, most important, its undeniable resemblance to Kermit the Frog.

According to scientist Brian Kubicki, the appearance of the frog in the Talamanca mountains of Costa Rica is a sign of a healthy ecosystem.

Muppet enthusiasts, however, believe it's sign that it's time to book a tropical vacation.
