Look at this cutie pie! Veterinarians at the zoo say this panda cub looks very healthy and his ear canals are just beginning to open, though his eyes remain shut.

It's time to wrap this baby bear in blue! According to a press release from the San Diego Zoo, veterinarians discovered this cute 5-week-old giant panda was a boy during his weekly exam Thursday.

The cub has yet to be named, because the zoo follows the Chinese tradition waiting until a giant panda is 100 days old before giving it a monicker. But word is, the zoo will be asking for the public's help, so keep a lookout for how you can help name this bouncing baby boy!

Until then, check out this cub and his mom on the San Diego Zoo's live Panda Cam.
