Going ape: Watch this orangutan care for 3 tiger cubs

An orangutan at Myrtle Beach Safari mimicked caretakers feeding tiger cubs. Now he's the cubs' baby sitter, and he isn't monkeying around.

When it comes to baby sitting, this orangutan has a tiger by the tail. But he's not putting up with any monkey shines (because, after all, orangutans aren't monkeys — they're apes).

A male orangutan at Myrtle Beach Safari in South Carolina watched caretakers bottle-feed the tiger cubs, and he learned to ape — er, mimic — their actions. (Proving that even though a tiger can't change his stripes, an orangutan can.)

But the orangutan's services don't stop there. He can be seen embracing the tiny tigers and wrestling with them almost every day — going ape, you might say.
