Don't look to "friend" Sasha and Malia Obama. The first daughters are not allowed on Facebook, their mother, Michelle, told TODAY's Matt Lauer.

Malia is 12 and Sasha is 9; the official Facebook age requirement is 13, but many younger kids lie and sign up for profiles, either with or without their parents' consent.

Not the Obama girls -- although, as the First Lady points out, it helps to have the Secret Service back you up on these things.

"I'm not a big fan of young kids having Facebook," Michelle Obama said. "It's not something they need."

"If they're 40?" Lauer joked.

"Maybe we'll talk about it," she replied.
