The "I Quit!" work-at-home mom dance is even better than the original

When Marina Shifrin posted a YouTube video of herself dancing around her office to Kanye West’s 'Gone' at 4:30 a.m. to announce she was quitting her job, it went viral in a hurry. In subtitles, she declares the company she worked for (which quickly made its own response video) was “awesome,” but the gig forced her to sacrifice her relationships, time and energy.

Sounds kind of like motherhood, huh?

Suburban Snapshots blogger Brenna Jennings apparently made that connection, too, and posted her own work-at-home mom response video on YouTube. “More years, less moves, same message,” she writes in the description of the video. Honestly, what mom—working or stay-at-home—hasn’t uttered the words, “I quit” at some point?

So, cheers to Jennings for ditching the laundry and toy pickup in her kid’s room to put those feelings to her very own dance break. In fact, we’re making these words our mantra: “This is to let my family know that I QUIT. That’s it. I’m gone. ... Just kidding. We’re out of milk.”
