When we first told you about Adam Mansbach's bedtime story for parents back in April, "Go the F--- to Sleep" had just gone to print. Seemingly overnight, it shot up to No. 1 on the Amazon pre-order list, his publisher bumped up the release date to June 14 and the book has even been optioned for a movie! Apparently parents world-wide can relate to his simple, satirical tale.
More than 60,000 TODAY Moms readers voted, and 86 percent deemed it hilarious. Nine percent found it appalling, and 5 percent said they were too sleep-deprived to know what to think. For all the sleep-deprived parents out there, past and present, here's a treat: Author Adam Mansbach giving a dramatic reading of "Go the F--- to Sleep" in the TODAY green room.
Warning: Bleeped out expletives aplenty in this video. Watching this video may cause uncontrollable laughter. Please remove children from room before viewing, and arrange pillows on floor in case you literally fall off your chair laughing. Enjoy!
