There is only “good blood” between Taylor Swift and one expectant couple, who enlisted the singer to announce their first pregnancy.
Swift posed with Jesse and Lindsey Rasmussen while holding up a “Baby’s First Concert" sign at one of her recent shows. The Louisville, Kentucky, couple then shared the photo with their friends on social media.
The parents-to-be met Swift at a media meet-and-greet before the concert. Jesse, a host at local radio station 102.3 The Max, said the couple had already told their closest friends and family before posting the picture online.
"We wanted to do something fun and it happened that the first ultrasound was the day before the concert, so that's how the idea came to us," Jesse told TODAY.com.
"I think we did a good job getting to everyone before we posted on social media," he added.
After helping with the announcement, Swift even sent a handwritten card to congratulate the couple on their pregnancy and tell them she was “so honored to be his/her first concert!!”
The couple thought the note from the "Bad Blood" singer — whom they consider "an ideal role model" — was incredibly sweet. In fact, they see qualities in Swift that they'd like to instill in their baby once he or she is born.
"Taylor Swift's confidence in herself and her actions and compassion for others is definitely inspiring!" Lindsey explained. "It is the perfect balance of each that we can hopefully instill in our child as he or she grows."
The couple hopes to one day take their little one to see Swift perform.
"It would be awesome to take our child to a concert of hers one day and to maybe officially introduce them," Jesse said.
