But with her new project, she's celebrating those bumps — and for a good cause, too.

Blakely's new book, "The Belly Art Project," features more than 100 women with their pregnant bellies painted with clever designs. All of the author's book proceeds will go to benefit Every Mother Counts, an organization that tries to make childbirth and pregnant safer around the world.

    Savannah Guthrie -

TODAY's very own Savannah Guthrie doing what she does best: staying up-to-date on the news! Of course, she probably doesn't always do it with a painted belly. "Why does everyone say pregnancy is nine months? 40 weeks is 10 months! Ten loooonnnng months," she's quoted as saying in the new book. "It can be tough, and everyone has their moments. But I've also never felt so lucky in my life!"

Sara Blakely's the founder of Spanx, so it might seem counter-intuitive that she's behind a new book all about bellies. Still, we think she got it right on target.
