Oh boy!

Savannah Guthrie revealed on Monday that her second child with husband Mike Feldman will be a boy! He will join the family, including 2-year-old big sister, Vale, this December.

Unlike her first pregnancy, Savannah chose to learn the gender of her baby this time around, mainly because of Vale.

"I thought, it's already enough upheaval for a little girl to have a new baby — we got to tell you what kind of baby," she said. "So baby brother is on his way in December!"

The reveal was made with the help of blue milkshakes inside Studio 1A and something less subtle outside — a plane flying an aerial banner declaring, "It's a boy!"

Although Savannah revealed the gender, she stayed mum about possible names. Earlier this month, when she admitted she already knew whether she was having a boy or a girl, she said had some baby names picked out.

"We have a very strong contender, but we believe you should look at the baby before you name him or her," she said at the time.

Savannah, 44, surprised her colleagues in June when she announced she was expecting a second child. As with her first pregnancy, she expressed gratitude about being able to become pregnant at an age older than many mothers.

“When Vale was born, our happiness was complete," she wrote in a candid blog post after she broke the news about her family's latest addition. "The thought of getting to add to our family now is beyond every hope, dream and prayer I have ever had. It is not simply double the joy — it is joy multiplied infinitely.”

Savannah’s little boy will have a playmate on set: TODAY meteorologist Dylan Dryer is pregnant with her first child, and is also expecting a son in December.

Before her big reveal, Savannah talked with Dr. Natalie Azar about the various ways people try to predict if you're having a boy or girl. Carrying high/low? Craving sweets? Sleeping on one side? No, nope and no. Dr. Azar shot down the superstitions. But apparently, one man can tell.

"I have about a 100 percent track record in guessing the gender of the TODAY show babies of my co-hosts," bragged Al Roker before the announcement was made. "So I think Savannah is having a bouncing baby boy."

Apparently his record is unbroken!

Savannah's first pregnancy came as a surprise as she and Feldman prepared to get married. The couple announced they were expecting at their March 2014 wedding and, a few days later, Savannah shared the news with TODAY viewers.

The couple's daughter Vale a frequent topic of TODAY discussion, turned 2 last month.
