In it, Meghan, 32, is cuddling little Aspen and crying as her mom, Julie Ann, bends over and hugs them both. It's a powerful, moving photo of three generations literally and emotionally coming together.
Edmonds announced the birth (with husband Jim) last Friday, welcoming the 6 pound, 11 ounce daughter Thanksgiving Day. Jim has four children from previous relationships; this is Meghan's first child.
Shortly after the birth, Meghan wrote an update in the caption of an Instagram photo and praised Jim for all of his support:
Back in June, she told People magazine about her pregnancy, noting, "I'm so over the moon, I couldn't believe it the first time I peed on a stick and I saw that little line kind of get a little darker. I've always dreamed of this, but it's still such a miracle. I can’t even describe the feeling."
