Although we're still convinced Kate Middleton is expecting a little princess, she and Prince William have said they want a delivery surprise and don't know the gender. While rumors about a possible girl name (Elizabeth, natch) have swirled, a new baby name report suggests that they might indeed be preparing for either sex…or they know it's a boy.
According to the Examiner, "sources close to the royals" say the baby name Philip is on the shortlist, as an homage to Will's grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh. Philip is also the middle name of William and his father Princes Charles, and means "horse lover", an apt name for the son of an avid polo player.
If Philip is indeed the name, the baby will eventually be King Philip—which kind of has a nice ring to it!
