Shumpert's fiancee, singer Teyena Taylor, was originally due to deliver in mid-January, which is why the couple was understandably unprepared.

All of the assists in the career of Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Iman Shumpert can't compare to the one he made in his bathroom Wednesday morning.

Shumpert had to spring into action when his fiancée, Teyana Taylor, went into labor well ahead of her mid-January due date. The couple didn't even have time to make it to the hospital for the birth of their baby daughter.

Taylor posted on Instagram that she didn't even know she was in labor until she felt their daughter's head, resulting in Shumpert delivering the baby in the couple's bathroom with his bare hands after two 10-count pushes by Taylor. He also tied a pair of headphones around the umbilical cord until an ambulance arrived.

Shumpert made a nice grab during the birth considering he just returned to the lineup this week from a wrist injury that he suffered during the preseason. The couple named their daughter Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr., celebrating their little bundle of joy just in time for Christmas.

"She has blown Christmas away!" Taylor wrote.
