When kids go back to school, some moms weep, others just bust a move.
Meet Tracy Moutafis, a firm believer in the second approach. The Framingham, Mass., mom has become known for her celebratory dance moves performed right outside her house as her two sons board the school bus and head back to class after the summer.
She’s been dancing with joy on the first day of school for five years now, videotaping her routines set to carefully-selected tunes and becoming something of a YouTube star in the process.
This year’s edition, titled “Mommy's happy dance 2013,” features Moutafis dancing to *NSYNC’s hit, “Bye Bye Bye.”

Last year’s video featured Moutafis dancing to Kool & The Gang’s “Celebration” (with the party starting even before her kids boarded the school bus). The year before that, she jumped and twirled to Michael Jackson’s “Beat It.”
Moutafis says her two sons, 12-year-old George and 10-year-old Angelo, think her videos are hilarious.
“They love it,” Moutafis told NBC News affiliate WHDH last year. “(My message is) bye-bye, go to school. Yup, mommy needs her time.”
She’s not the only mom having fun during back-to-school time. Many TODAY.com readers sent photos of themselves jumping with joy as their little ones headed back to class.
