To prepare for the arrival of a baby buckeroo, swimming superstar Michael Phelps and his fiancée, Nicole Johnson, hosted a cowboy-themed shower — and have the boots to prove it.
The all-time record holder for Olympic medals (22) and golds (18), Phelps, 30, got a lift from some of his buddies for the special occasion, which People reported was held at a restaurant in Westlake Village, California.

"Great times!!!" reads the caption to a photo posted to his Instagram account Sunday. "Thanks for coming guys!!" While he certainly knows his way around a pool, the daddy-to-be got his feet wet — or more accurately, dry — wearing some Western gear, as evidenced by his hashtag, #firsttimewearingcowboyboots.
Cowgirls gathered around Johnson, a 30-year-old model and former Miss California USA, for a photo op of their own. "As we start our family we're surrounded by so many incredible people from the east and west coasts," reads the caption to her group photo, also posted Sunday.
After revealing their engagement last February, Phelps posed with Johnson for a November Instagram post that announced Johnson was 12 weeks into her pregnancy. They're expecting a boy this spring.
