Jenna Bush Hager got some help recently tucking her two daughters into bed — from her father.
Former President George W. Bush stopped by the TODAY correspondent's New York home during bedtime to enjoy some snuggles with his granddaughters, 4-year-old Mila and her little sister, Poppy, 2.
"Bed time visitor," Hager wrote in an Instagram Stories post showing her father sitting in an armchair with the girls, who wore matching doughnut pajamas. A heart was drawn around the trio.
Another photo showed Bush and a smiling Mila having some fun.
"Book and a dance," the caption said.
Jenna, 35, has credited her father for instilling confidence in her when she was younger.
"People laugh at this, but I think my dad was a feminist," she told People earlier this year when she, her husband, Henry Hager, and their daughters were featured in the magazine's "Most Beautiful People" issue. "He showed us that we could be whatever we wanted to be."
Jenna also said she hopes her two daughters will grow up feeling as "strong and capable" as she and her twin sister and best friend, Barbara, felt because of her parents.
