Goldie Hawn celebrated her daughter's 37th birthday Tuesday with a sweet photo from the younger actress' childhood days.
From one Academy Award nominee to another, Hawn (nominated in 1970 for "Cactus Flower") opted for the throwback approach, posting an adorable baby pic of Hudson (nominated in 2001 for "Almost Famous").
"Happy birthday my only girl!" reads Hawn's caption, accompanying a photo of wee Hudson at just a few weeks old. "Thank you for coming though me to become YOU! A shining light full of joy. I love you."

A day later, Hudson celebrated the big day with her own Instagram post, showing herself with a literal circle of friends and some "birthday meditation" — complete with "Intentions set, tears shed, laughter achieved and then some, and enough love in one circle to last many lifetimes."
But before they came into the picture, Hawn was arguably Hudson's first friend, and remains one of her best.
"Even my friends sometimes are like, 'Kate, you've got to stop talking so much about your life.' And I'm like, 'Why?' I can't keep things in, really," she told E! News last weekend. "I've never felt like I've had to hide anything from my mom. If anything, she's always been my confidante."
That was evident on Instagram last November, when Hudson offered a video birthday tribute to her mom, who turned 70 that month.
Those close family ties may be why they often seem so happy together in public. Photos from the past dozen years seem to bear that out.
