Bindi Irwin marked a milestone birthday over the weekend with a very special tribute to her mom and late dad.

On Sunday, the 18-year-old posted a beautiful throwback photo of herself as a baby alongside her dad, Steve, and mom, Terri.

But it wasn't just about the photo, it was the caption accompanying it that could bring anyone to tears.

Irwin lost her father, a naturalist who made his name on TV's "The Crocodile Hunter," in 2006 after a stingray stabbed him in the chest during the filming of an underwater documentary.

But that tragedy did not keep Bindi from following in dad's footsteps and becoming a conservationist, too.

Mom also posted a throwback photo of the family for her daughter's birthday:

Environmental conservation isn't all that's been on Bindi's plate recently.

In 2015 she partnered with Derek Hough on "Dancing with the Stars" and used the spotlight to shower love on her dad, whom she devoted multiple routines to.

"I wish he could fully understand how much he's done for me," she said on the show. "And that I miss him."

Clearly, she's one prizewinning daughter. Happy birthday, Bindi!
