So far, so good for Dylan Dreyer on her first week back to work from maternity leave. Then came Friday morning.

As many nursing mothers know, sometimes it's hard to remember to pack everything into your breast pump bag before heading to work each day. That means certain important items get overlooked. And so you have to wing it.

“When you forget bottles to pump into, you improvise,” the TODAY meteorologist wrote in an Instagram post of her breast shields atop of two paper coffee cups. “Hey … I’m proud of myself for making it to Friday before this happened!" she added, with the hashtags #workingmom and #cantgetitrightallthetime.

Dylan, pumping moms have been there — and they empathized online.

“Been there with our liquid gold! A mama’s got to do what a mama’s go to do!” one woman commented.

Another mom noted, "Yep. I'm a nurse and I've pumped into urine specimen containers many times!”

Glad you didn’t have to go to such extremes, Dylan!
