Does birth order determine how you'll live your life?

Apart from the stereotypes perpetuated by iconic television programs like “The Brady Bunch,” does an individual's place in the birth order really dictate certain traits? Many experts say yes. A child’s place in the family can factor prominently in defining their interests, performance and success in later life. And for the most part, the popular stereotypes seem to be accurate; i.e. firstborns tend to be driven overachievers, middle children tend to form stronger bonds outside the family and youngest children often suffer from getting too much attention and become less independent as a result.
