Alexandria "Lexi" Zahra Jones, the daughter of Iman and David Bowie, celebrated her sweet 16 with a stunning selfie.

Iman, who posted Lexi's gorgeous self portrait on Instagram Monday, honored her younger daughter’s special day by writing, “Happy sweet 16th birthday to my baby girl Lexi!” She advised Lexi to "stay sweet," adding, "classy with a hint of sassy."

The teen also received a message from her father's management team, via the late music legend’s official Instagram account.

“Fill your heart with love today, Don't play the game of time…,” the post reads. The thoughtful message accompanies a photo of a teenage Bowie circa 1963, and describes the young musician pictured as “an ambitious 16-year-old himself with a particularly bright future ahead of him.”

Earlier this year, Iman's friend and fellow supermodel Christie Brinkley shared a sweet throwback photo of the couple holding her own daughter, Sailor, as an infant, writing that it took Iman and Bowie seven years of trying to conceive before they welcomed Lexi.

After Bowie's death on Jan. 10, Iman reflected on her husband's life in a series of emotional Instagram posts.

"The struggle is real, but so is God," read one particularly poignant post.

Bowie opened up about his family in 2002, telling the New York Daily News that he had “stumbled onto bliss.” He went on to say, “I don't see ever wanting to change things in my personal life. Iman and I are very happy, and we have the most fabulous baby."
