But, if Teen Vogue is right, lots of teen girls may be ditching the formal frock for a pair of menswear-inspired pajamas this year. According to the Wall Street Journal, more girls are ditching the juniors-section at the mall and are opting to get their prom outfits at vintage shops, high-end boutiques, or even Victoria's Secret, where they're buying silky jammie sets. Fashionistas say that girls wanting to pull of the pajama prom look, should stick to classic or muted colors. They should also pair the PJ's with bright red lipstick, high heels and some fun jewelry. Those of us who remember a time when dying your shoes to match your dress was the ultimate in prom sophistication, are feeling pretty darn old right about now.
Trucker delivers baby alongside the interstate...for the third time!
One big rig truck driver has found himself moonlighting as a roadside midwife on more than one occasion. Truckers routinely deliver their cargo on time, but delivering babies along the side of the road is decidedly less routine. Unless you're talking about trucker Michael Hawthorne, who has delivered not one, not two, but three babies on the side of various freeways. As the Daily Journal reports, he comes from a long line of midwives, with both his mother and grandmother working as midwives in rural Missouri. As a child, they even let him watch them at work, reasoning it was a skill he might need someday. Who would have guessed he'd need that skill so often or while on long, lonesome stretches of highway? After his first delivery, he started driving with a freeway birthing kit, carrying things like alcohol swabs, cotton balls, latex gloves and scissors, for just such a predicament. Lest you think his roadside medical talents are limited to birthing babies, you should know this trucker, M.D., has also helped rescue a baby boy from his car seat right before a tornado swept the car away. He's also helped a heatstroke victim and saved an elderly man's life after the man suffered from a heart attack.
Come on down to Caine's Arcade
In a used auto parts store in East L.A., a little boy with a lot of cardboard and even more imagination, built his very own arcade. Nine-year-old Cain Monroy built an incredible arcade in his dad's store. As Babble reports, the arcade features a number of games, including a "claw" game that Caine built himself, using an S-hook, a piece of string, and a cardboard box. For $1, you can buy four turns at Caine's games, but for $2, you can get a fun pass, with 500 turns. All games have a ticket dispenser and if a player wins, Caine crawls into the cardboard box and manually pushes the tickets through a slot to the winner, mimicking a real arcade experience. Unfortunately, Caine's Arcade wasn't getting much foot traffic and Caine spent most Saturdays at the store, wearing his "staff" t-shirt, hoping for customers that never came. That is, until filmmaker, Nirvan Mullick, stumbled into the store one day. Caine's first and only customer was blown away by the kid's ingenuity and creativity and asked Caine's dad if he could make a documentary about the arcade. Not only did he make a documentary, but he arranged for a flashmob to descend on Caine's Arcade one day, much to the little boy's delight.
11-year-old Zumba enthusiast shakes it till she makes it, into the Guinness Book of World Records
Zumba has danced its way into America's workout routine. As the Washington Post reports, one young enthusiast has even shimmied her way into the Guinness World Records for being the youngest Zumba instructor -- certified when she was just 11 years old. Now 15, Catalina Mejia teaches weekly teen Zumba classes and even co-teaches adult classes. When she was 10, her mom, who knew Catalina loved to dance, took the young girl to her first Zumba class. Like many others, Catalina was immediately hooked. Though unlike most, she took the steps to get herself certified. This high-octane, little go-getter wasn't able to go and get herself a job for several years though, since the law in her state requires kids to be 14 before they can work. In the meantime, this self-proclaimed Energizer bunny, taught her parents and brother, started a Zumba club at school and taught Zumba at birthday parties and family get-togethers. Sign us up for one of her classes!

Mother-daughter boob jobs
Many mother-daughter combos bond over mani-pedis or a little shopping. Maybe lunch and a movie. As the Daily Mail reports, one mother-daughter duo from England decided to bond over boob jobs. The formerly A-cup pair decided to get breast enhancements on the same day. When Daniella told her mom she wanted to get the surgery, her mom decided to join her. The two report having fun together, visiting the surgeon's office for pre-surgical appointments, picking out their new cleavages. Both gals are pleased with their altered states and are looking forward to shopping for fancy bras and low-cut tops together.
