Crib notes: Orlando Bloom's labor room heroics (He peed in a bottle!)

Orlando Bloom has given women everywhere one more reason to swoon over him. The handsome actor never once left his wife's side during her 27-hour labor-- not even to go to the bathroom. The dedicated father and husband agreed to pee in a bottle, rather than abandon his wife for even a moment of her un-medicated ordeal. Do you hear that guys? Didn't leave her side for a minute... Prospective father

Just hangin' in the Muthahood with my peeps. Usually, moms and gangsta rap mix as well as oil and water but the new rap video "In the Muthahood" manages to bridge the mom versus rapper divide. There are some hilarious lines in there, you just might need to watch it twice.

Big Brother is not only watching, he's counting every calorie on your plate, kids. A new research project is being launched in Texas that will photograph the lunch trays of elementary school students both before and after they eat to determine exactly how many calories each child consumed. The project, which is an attempt to combat childhood obesity, tracks individual children's eating habits and sends a report home to parents.

A high school senior goes all out in order to ask a girl to prom and gets shot down -- not by the girl, but by his school. The teen went to the school in the middle of the night and posted a large sign near the main entrance, asking a friend to the big dance. The school was not impressed with the romantic gesture and charged the teen (and his two assistants/accomplices) with trespassing. The culprits received a one day in-school suspension and were banned from attending prom.

Most parents at one time or another have wished their kids would settle down, just a bit. Could yoga classes for the elementary school set grant that wish? Many say that in addition to helping children learn to be calm, it also teaches self-control and is a fun, non-competitive exercise that can help combat obesity as well. If it even grants parents a few minutes of peace and quiet, it may be well worth it.
