One group, "Please Don't Buy My Prom Dress," allows girls to upload photos of their gowns to the site, in the hopes of remaining an original on the big night.

Authorities in California recently shut down a maternity center designed for Chinese mothers who paid thousands of dollars to travel to the United States to give birth so their children would have automatic citizenship. The center was shut down because the buildings had structural problems, not due to any illegality with the program.
