If the notion of stay-at-home dads still surprises you, just wait until you check out this new crop of fathers who are finding a brand-new way to bond with their daughters. While traditionally considered the domain of the nervous stage mother, the task of shepherding an aspiring young beauty queen through the perilous realm of preteen beauty pageants has been taken on by a new breed of dad looking to connect with their daughters. Regularly featured on the TLC reality TV series “Toddlers & Tiaras” and currently profiled in this week’s issue of People magazine, pageant dads Lon Enos and David Perez came by the studio today to talk with Natalie Morales and explain their involvement.
