Coming to grips with bullying

While it seems in recent months that bullying in our nation’s schools has experienced a disquieting uptick, a new survey of high school students' attitudes and conduct shows that bullying has simply become part of their lives. Moreover, nearly half of those students admitted to being involved in the aggressive torment themselves. While the basic elements of bullying haven’t changed over the years, the tools available to those enacting such behaviors are more sophisticated and invasive than ever. As such, the effects of bullying have become more harmful and more serious.
