Supermodel Chrissy Teigen is happy as can be adjusting to life as a new mom.

She recently celebrated her first Mother's Day with Luna, who was born last month and is her first child with husband John Legend.

"The entire day my eyes were just on the verge of tears because I was so happy," she told Entertainment Tonight, opening up about the joys of motherhood.

But there is one thing about being a mom that surprised her: the amount of time she has to devote to nourishing baby Luna.

"You're kind of breastfeeding for 10 hours a day," Teigen said. "They just use you for your milk and you just feel like you're a cow all day. It's hard to work your entire day around her getting all the nourishment she needs, because they are just little animals."

While her daughter might be focused on feeding, Teigen, a known foodie and chef who recently released her first cookbook, said "food just doesn't cross my mind" since giving birth.

"Before, it was number one on my list," she said. "Now Luna's up there! Luna and John and keeping the dogs happy."

The 30-year-old gushed about Luna's "little smiles" and how Legend dances with and sings to their daughter in the interview.

But it hasn't been all easy for the couple: Teigen was recently criticized on social media for going on a dinner date with her husband just days after Luna was born. True to form, the supermodel brushed it off, and Legend spoke up, too, defending his wife on Twitter.
